by Timo MeyerTwo things I remember quite vividly when thinking about Massachusetts were a trip to Cape Cod and a visit of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. So my first approaches included JFK and the Nauset Lighthouse.
In the end I chose a different path, focusing on the state bird and the sunset (as a tribute to the stunning New England sunsets). I wanted a bright, minimalistic plate with a very limited color palette.
